Kaitlin

A few weeks ago I had the chance to photograph a good friend and colleague of mine. She has an awesome job at an ad agency and has the brightest red hair I have ever seen. She needed some new pictures for her website and we got some awesome shots. Here are just a couple of my favorites.

Where I have been and where things are going.

The last few months have been crazy. For those of you who have noticed, I havent been posting many blog entries or updating the facebook fan page as much but that is all about to change.

But first, lets play a little catch up.

In June, I moved to New Hampshire setting things in motion with plans to open a studio. From June through November, I worked out of the home shooting some commercial stuff, weddings and even two music videos.

In November I got offered a job I couldn't pass up. A 6 month gig photographing products at Hasbro. Thats right, Transformers, Gi Joe, and many more. I moved to Rhode Island to take the job and I must say it has been an awesome experience, But also a very time demanding one. It's the main reason I havent been posting any new work.

Unfortunately, there was also an incident where my hard drives and back up drives were destroyed and some recent work was lost. It's a painful experience when you are so cautious with backing up material, And when something fails, You cant help but be upset for not preparing more. In my years of being a photographer its the only time I have ever had this happen and I can say, I never want to go through it again. If there is one bit of advice I can give after this is stressing the importance of hard copies of backups.

Now that I am Halfway through my work at Hasbro, and still recovering from the equipment loss, I am working on all new material. Im getting my feet wet again in areas I havent for a while. Commercial products, food, and video production, While still offering weddings, family and children shoots, etc. In May I'll be returning to New Hampshire ready to keep things rolling.

There are some new images up on the site now and more coming every couple of days so be on the lookout. In the mean time, I am still booking weddings for 2012 with plenty of dates available. There are several, but limited, family sessions available until June. So if you are interested and have any questions, Please contact me and we can definitely get you taken care of.

The wheels are turning on a studio concept unlike one you have seen before. Something new and refreshing while providing people with an experience they will never forget and keep coming back for. It's a secret now but I can say, I cant wait to make this a team effort.

Ill end this with the music video I shot for my good friends in Letterday. Expect big things from these guys in the future.

New Year, New Plans, New everything.

2011 Was a great year that was a baby step in the right direction. I had the pleasure of photographing some amazing clients for weddings, portraits, businesses, bands, and more. I even had the pleasure of shooting several music videos and I plan on doing more.  The year had its hard times as well, Nothing prepared me for a massive equipment failure at the worst possible time. No matter how prepared you think you are, ALWAYS take that extra step to back up everything. Now that 2012 is here, there are many plans being set into motion that will make it the best year yet.

On set today.

Not as a shooter, as an assistant. I enjoy assisting just as much as shooting. Just being involved in the process is enough for me.
